Your tastings will be accompanied by the expert commentary of Catoctin Creek distiller, vice president & general manager Scott Harris, and will include the following:

  • Catoctin Creek Organic Mosby’s Spirit from Loudoun County, Virginia
  • Catoctin Creek Organic Roundstone Rye from Loudoun county, Virginia
  • Clynelish 14-year-old North Highland Single Malt from the coast of Sutherland, Scotland
  • Dalwhinnie 15-year-old Highland Single Malt from the Drumochter Hills of Scotland
  • Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Aldie MillOur meal for the evening will be a five-course affair, pairing special foods with each of the five whiskeys, and prepared by Great Blue Heron Catering. Courses will include cheeses, appetizer, salad, main course, & dessert.

For those who choose, you may end the evening with a cigar to accompany your final dram.

This event will be made even more special with the addition of a tour and grinding demonstration of Aldie Mill by award-wining miller Mike Devine. Local historian Rich Gillespie will share stories throughout the evening of the mill’s history, including the Civil War adventures of John Singleton Mosby, Confederate partisan fighter whose escapades included activity at the mill and in & around the village of Aldie.
